This too shall pass...

Have you ever had a time in your life when everything felt perfect and amazing?

Life was just as you wanted it to be and then all of a sudden, it changed and you found yourself grieving what was no longer and missing what used to be.

Change is the only constant.

While this may feel disheartening when we think about a life that we love changing, we can use this same perspective to help us through our tough times.

When you are finding it hard to get out of bed or your heart aches for the world and the people and situations in your life, you can be rest assured change is the only constant.

We become more comfortable with this state of change by recognizing that we change in every moment of every day.

In fact, we would perish without change.

Our inhale changes to exhale.
Our exhale changes to inhale.

Change must be constant.

This week’s breathing exercise, “This too shall pass,” will help you with reaching this state of peace and acceptance of change and allowing you to welcome in the many blessings headed your way.

As my wise mother would tell me, “This too shall pass.” Whenever I was down, however I was hurt, her words were like a magic salve to my soul,

“Honey, this too shall pass.”

I knew she was right and those simple words offered me the resilience and strength I needed to heal. I knew whatever I was struggling with would come to an end.

As I’ve called on her for guidance and support over the last 9 months, these healing words are all I’ve heard in my heart.

As was written in Angel Birthdays, a cloud X in the sky has always been my sign of love and connection with my mom since she passed away almost 13 years ago.

Just as I was walking into my home from recording this week’s breathing exercise and sharing her “This too shall pass” wisdom, I saw this huge love sign directly above my house.

Life is always blessing us.

If something serves our highest good, it comes into our life and stays, maybe forever.

If something does not serve our highest good, it disappears or changes so we can grow and strengthen.

However, I assure you, either way, it is always blessing you.

So as the world continues to baffle us with its ever changing circumstances, trust and know this is a time of strengthening and readying for the blessings that are heading your way.

And if you find yourself still struggling to make sense of it all, just simply remind yourself that this too shall pass.

Much love,
Erin
