Where do you need to begin again today?

As a child, I would wake up every Easter morning with blue and purple egg-dye-stained fingers ready to pull on white tights and slide into white Patton leather shoes to go to church and share in a family brunch of ham and homemade sweet bread.

But before all that started, we would run around the Livingroom where the Easter Bunny would have hidden the dyed easter eggs from the night before.  This was the 70's & 80's so it was game on with these eggs. They were hard-boiled eggs and if we didn't find them, they would find us with their smell a few weeks later so a close count was always kept on the number of eggs hidden and found.

The simple discovery of the eggs brought its own joy.

There was nothing inside the eggs except for egg white and yolk offering protein and Vitamins A, D & B.

And yet we were thrilled by discovering these eggs.

We would race to find the most decorated eggs and cheer each other on when a "tough one"- a well-hidden egg-  was found.

This tradition of egg dying dates back to Christians in Mesopotamia and was later adopted by Orthodox churches. It's no surprise I was drawn toward this tradition.  I love everything about Mesopotamia and completed a report on this area every year in school when I had the opportunity to select my geographical place of study.

Let's be honest. It had more to do with the eggs than Mesopotamia in this instance though.

The egg represents new life and rebirth, a beginning again for the year and season.

It's as if we begin again with every new egg we find. We can be intentional with our decorating even and allow each Easter Egg to become its own vision board. Decorate one egg for health, another for love, and another symbolically for work while setting the intention that you are beginning again every time you find them.

Where do you need to begin again today?

We draw in what we intend. How can you shift direction today?

We are intended to hibernate through the winter, to rest and restore. Just like the flowers and trees in bloom now, we take this season to bloom into the next version of ourselves. Our mindset determines what that looks like. Mastering your dream before you dream right before you fall asleep helps to draw in all the goals you wish to accomplish.

Setting springtime intentions for how you want to bloom is such a powerful practice. Join me for this week's meditation, Begin Again meditation where we will use our intentions to set us up for a powerful springtime manifestation and present moment mindfulness mindset.

Have you been seeing a ton of bees, ants or silverfish in your house?  These are all powerful spiritual messages that are trying to help you shift and change. Join me for this week's podcast, Animal Symbolism and what these animals are telling you- bees, ants, and silverfish.  It is such a fun and enlightening episode. Be sure to follow today to be alerted tomorrow morning when it goes live!

Happy Easter!  I hope you find many new beginnings with each egg you find!

Much love,
Erin
